On 23 January 2026, Ambassador of Algeria in Dhaka, Abdelouahab Saidani visited Faridpur District, including the towns of Bhanga and Nagarkanda
Following his schedule to strengthen the bond and enhance the economic and cultural relations between Algeria and the all the region’s people of Bangladesh, the Ambassador Abdelouahab SAIDANI paid his visit to various regions across Bangladesh.
For the same objective, he visited the Faridpur District, including the sub-districts of Bhanga and Nagarkanda, on 23rd January 2026.
During his visit, Ambassador Saidani received a warm reception from a wide spectrum of society, including government officials, farmers, community leaders, and students.
At Bhanga High School, he was welcomed by Teachers and Students, with the national anthems of Algeria and Bangladesh performed in his honor. The Ambassador was briefed on local education practices, focusing on classroom management and multimedia use in teaching.
Later, the Ambassador visited the Kaichel Madrasha in Nagarkanda, where he participated in the Jumu’ah prayer. He engaged with students, Islamic scholars, and community leaders to discuss religious education and the importance of social values. In addition, Ambassador Saidani highlighted the potential for economic cooperation between Bangladesh and Algeria, particularly in the agricultural sector, and encouraged investment in Algeria’s agricultural industry.
