November 1, 1954 is, in my view and rightly, the most decisive step in the long process of maturation of
the national movement and which led to the independence of Algeria and the reconstruction of its
state.
No one should forget that the revolution of November 1, 1954 against French colonialism is a revolution
in the full sense of the term.
A revolution that has no equivalent except for the revolution in Vietnam.
On this 67 th anniversary of our glorious revolution that inspired so many oppressed peoples, I express my
best wishes to members of the national community abroad as well as all the Algerian people.
