November1, 2026, marks exatly 72 years since the outbreak of the Algerian Revolution. On this day in 1954, the National Liberation Front (FLN) through Armed National Liberation (ALN), fired first bullet, igniting a fierce seven –year struggle against French colonial rule. Today, we honor the profound sacrifices of the millions of valiant martyrs who fought for sovereignty, reminding us that the spirit of freedom and self-determination remains the cornstone of Algeria’s identity.
To celebrate this milestone of November1, 1954, the Algerian embassy in Dhaka is hosting a series of special events for 2026. This commemoration will include a dedicated conference and diverse activities held in excellent conditions to mark this memorable occasion.
The embassy takes this opportunity to extend its warmest greetings and heartfelt congratulations to all Algerian people. Furthermore, the embassy cordially invites members of Algerian community in Bangladesh to kindly take part in this solemn and joyous commemoration.
