Dhaka, 13 October 2026 – The Ambassador of Algeria to Bangladesh, Abdelouahab Saidani, paid a courtesy call on the State Minister for Foreign Affairs-1, Mr Humaiun Kobir, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss ways to reinforce the existing bilateral cooperation between Algeria and Bangladesh, predominantly in energy, as well as in notable sectors like fertilisers, pharmaceuticals, trade, investment and agriculture. Both sides underscored the importance of translating the longstanding friendship between the two countries into concrete partnerships, expanding mutually beneficial economic opportunities and exploring new avenues for cooperation.
The discussions reaffirmed the shared commitment to deepening Algeria–Bangladesh relations and broadening cooperation in areas of common interest.
