The Ambassador of Algeria to Bangladesh, Dr. Abdelouahab Saidani, visited MAX Group’s manufacturing facilities in Manikganj on 7 August 2026, where he held discussions with Chairman Engr. Ghulam Mohammed Alomgir on expanding industrial and investment cooperation between Bangladesh and Algeria. The discussion highlighted the complementarity between Algeria’s steel, natural gas and petroleum resources and Bangladesh’s manufacturing capabilities, including prospects for sourcing Algerian base oil for lubricant production and expanding Bangladeshi exports to the Algerian market. The Ambassador also invited MAX Group to explore establishing a manufacturing facility in Algeria, with support from the Algerian government, and underscored the role of the Algeria–Bangladesh Business Forum in strengthening business-to-business cooperation.
